Ukarimu (pronounced oo-KAH-ree-moo) is the Swahili word for hospitality. It's a name that has guided everything we do since Karin Erasmus founded this guesthouse in 2008 — and it remains the heart of how we welcome every guest today. Set in a quiet suburb of Klerksdorp, just 175km from Johannesburg on the N12, Ukarimu offers a genuine escape — beautiful gardens, a sparkling pool, and rooms that feel like your own private retreat.
